"I'm not sure I would have given this penalty."

Mark Clattenburg, a former Premier League referee, has commented on Paul Tierney's officiating during Tottenham Hotspur's 3-0 win over Arsenal.
After Cedric Soares was ruled to have shoved Son Heung-min in the box, Harry Kane scored from the penalty spot in the 22nd minute. Clattenburg, on the other hand, has confessed that he would not have pointed to the spot because it is rarely given in the English Premier League.
"This was a decisive judgement in a match with so much riding on the result, and I'm not sure I would have given this," he wrote for The Daily Mail. Paul Tierney wasn't technically incorrect.
Son Heung-min, Bukayo Saka, and Jarrod Bowen have all been nominated for Player of the Season in the Premier League.
"We were shown a replay of what the referee could see from behind, and it appeared like Cedric Soares nudged Son Heung-min in the back." But, if this is going to be a penalty, I'm sure there are plenty of prior games when the identical 'foul' has occurred in the box.
"The inconsistency is irritating because will it be awarded if it happens again next week in another Premier League game?" Maybe. Perhaps not. Tierney, unfortunately for Arsenal, saw it as a clear foul, and Harry Kane said, "Thank you very much."
Arsenal's central defender After collecting a second yellow card for pushing Son in transition, Rob Holding was sent off just 11 minutes after Kane's opening, a move that Clattenburg backed. "Holding had been fouling Son previous to collecting his first yellow card, almost targeting the Spurs striker in a running battle," the veteran referee continued.
"Although referees allow a degree of feistiness in these derbies, Tierney finally lost patience with Holding and booked him for his third foul on Son, this time for pulling back his opponent. Given that he was already on a yellow, it was foolish of Holding to use an elevated arm to stop Son's run.
"Antonio Conte's teams enjoy putting pressure on the referee to make judgements. Holding fell for it hook, line, and sinker, and Arsenal was sunk as a result of his naiveté."

After the season's final game this weekend, the former Arsenal, Barcelona, and Chelsea player will depart the Ligue 1 club.
Because relegation was a possibility, I took a tremendous risk "Fabregas spoke to RMC Sport before reflecting on the young players he has coached.
"When I arrived, Thierry and Vadim (the club's former vice president) asked me to assist in the development of the young people.
He is a man, not a boy.
Fofana, a combative midfielder, has appeared in 41 Monaco games across all competitions, while Diop, a more attacking midfielder, has scored eight goals in his 41 appearances.
